Everybody has dreams and goals, but not everyone really goes after them wholeheartedly. In fact, I have met many highly talented people over the course of my life who are letting their dreams sit idly on a shelf collecting dirt. But passions are not meant to sit on a mantle collecting dust, they are meant to be expressed and pursued. I think what makes people great is following their passions! Extraordinary lives are not born from shrinking back from your greatness, but rather out of pursuing your gifts and talents, out of igniting that inner spark in yourself which wants to become a torch burning brightly for all the world to see.
But here is a little secret just FYI-you shouldn't just follow your passions, you should chase them. You should chase your passions as if your very life and breath depended on it, because in all actuality it does. In order to keep your life flowing with energy and inspiration you have to utilize your passion. Your passion is what fuels your life. It is the electricity that keeps you fully charged.
The day you really commit to going after what you were born to do is the day your life will blossom. Never stop believing in and practicing your own magic. Your unique gifts and way of expressing yourself is your magic. And if you're not sure what it is for you, just keep on following the things that make you feel alive and on purpose. These things will never lead you astray, rather they will keep you on purpose, on target.
Your calling, your purpose is dependent on you staying after, or pursuing the very things that make you come alive and dance. So keep on keeping on, Chasing Your Passion down whatever path it may be leading you on. When you develop the hunger to live true and authentic to your life purpose, you will find a great deal of inner satisfaction. You will also experience life's glory and magnificence in a way you may have never thought possible. Man was not born to merely survive in an unfulfilled life experience, man was born to reach for the stars, to feel highly alive, to be full and overflowing with passion, the nectar and essence of life.

When you really stop to think about it, world peace is actually an inside job. It's quite apparent that all of the fighting around the world just creates more turmoil, more hatred. The bottom line it seems is that anger and violence promote more anger and violence. Peace doesn't come from fighting. It never has and it never will! I beg to differ when I hear people say, "Freedom isn't Free." And please hear me out... It's not that I am being disrespectful to the many veterans and military men and women out there. I am highly appreciative of their sacrifice and service to our country. It's just that I firmly believe, "Real Freedom" is free. I believe true freedom is a condition of the soul. It stems from inner peace, from a connection to source. And once you find or achieve inner peace and inner freedom, no one or nothing can take it away from you. In my book, inner peace and freedom are synonymous, and they are both wonderful gifts of the spirit.
Real peace is not something you have to fight for, rather it is something you can naturally attain with a dedicated spiritual practice. And most of the time anyways, we don't really fight for peace. We fight for power, dominance and control, which is really the opposite of peace. With that being said however, there are always two types of power operating in the world: authentic power and false, ego-based power. Authentic power results from being in harmony with your inner, sacred self and your higher power. It is based on love, mutual respect and reverence for all of life. False power on the other hand is based on fear and intimidation which is why it is a lesser power. Authentic power is the only kind of power that can and will transform the world as we know it.
Peace is a perplexing and sometimes trivial thing, but once you find it within, you'll find it everywhere! World Peace Begins With You. And real peace that is attained within oneself spills over onto the community and then eventually out to the world abroad. It starts from the soul and radiates outward. The way to peace is not war. The way to peace is not one religion trying to convert the entire world to its way of thinking or believing. Peace happens when you fully commit and surrender to the ways of spirit. Peace is the way to peace. Choosing peace is also a moment to moment choice we all have to make as well. If we want to transform the world, we have to first transform our inner selves. The more people who do this, the more powerful the collective consciousness for change becomes. If you really want to see peace and transformation on this planet, then you must do as Gandhi said, "Be the change you wish to see in the world."
