We all have unexplainable moments when stars align and things just naturally fall into place. It's this thing called serendipity. I'm sure you have experienced it before and know how it works. You find yourself at just the right place, at just the right time, with just the right person. You find something you weren't even looking for, or conditions align themselves for fate to reveal its face to you. These random, unpredictable, often life changing and unexpected events occur that leave you plain mesmerized. You know it's something amazing when it happens, but your rational side may shrug it off as sort of unusual, or just a mere coincidence. But these types of events are unique and fortunate and are not to be taken lightly.
The mysterious, spiritual, unexplainable side of life is sometimes the most real. We should all learn to trust and embrace the mystery as we are all intricately connected to and a part of this divine mystery called life... Trusting Serendipity is definitely living closer to spirit. It is allowing yourself to be open to possibilities and embracing not knowing what is going to happen next. Living in this manner can be exciting and adventurous. It allows us to encounter people we never even conceived of meeting, to see places we didn't even know existed, or to try something delightful and refreshing. It allows our souls to open up and expand in all directions. But, serendipitous events aren't something you can plan for or even count on. They sort of just happen to you, when you least expect them, leaving you changed for the better. And it is when you are really being open to the spiritual realm, to new experiences and possibilities that they show up even more often.
Serendipity is not easy to fully understand. By definition though, serendipity is: the faculty or phenomenon of finding valuable things not sought for. This is a great definition if you ask me. So if you would like to to experience it more often, all you need to do is be open to it, allow it to happen and just let it show up in your life. If you try and plan every detail on your journey, you will miss out on extraordinary experiences. Acute planners rarely experience serendipity. They actually block out this mysterious, wonderful part of life.
Living with and close to serendipity is learning to trust and embrace the unexpected and to release control of the outcome. It is accomplished by not locking yourself into decisive, concrete plans, but instead listening for slight inner nudges and toning down your logical mind. Oftentimes, when we are living in this manner, what comes along is far greater than we could have ever anticipated or planned for. When we are in the flow and release control of the outcome serendipity becomes a remarkable part of our daily lives. It is almost magical. And the thing about magic is, it can't be forced, only allowed. Trusting Serendipity is allowing possibilities without boundaries, experiences without rigid fences. Set yourself free to experience its splendor.
